Lentil ragout
Serves 6
Tip: It’s seemingly you’ll per chance well expend lentils of any coloration in this ragout. On the opposite hand, crimson lentils give the dish a moving coloration.
- Add 1 teaspoon olive oil.
- Add 1 cup onions.
- Saute for 3 minutes.
- Add 6 medium tomatoes.
- Saute for 3 minutes, stirring continually.
- Add 5 cups water.
- Add 1 cup raw crimson lentils.
- Cook for 20 minutes till most of water is absorbed.
- Add 4 cloves garlic.
- Add 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon floor shaded pepper.
- Jog in 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme.
